~ New Orleans, Louisiana ~
Who hasn’t dreamed of owning a business in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana? The hauntings. The food. The music. The history. And this historic hotel is for sell off Dauphine Street in the heart of the French Quarter. It has been recently listed and it will not last long.
The brick building withstood Hurricane Katrina and has been completely remodeled. The property has been inspected dozens of times to ensure that any mold or dangers from flooding have been taken care of. We have installed completely new flooring and carpeting. We have torn down any walls affected and repainted the entire hotel. New lighting fixtures and brand new furnishings make this 1920 hotel brand new.
We were lucky enough to save all the original doorknobs on all the doors which add just the right amount of historic flair. This 120 room hotel has full baths in every room and feather blankets draped across all the beds. Extra pillows fluff up the room. The jacuzzi bathtubs with jets increase the guests willingness to stay for a few extra days.
The hotel also houses an on-site restaurant open all day all night as well as a lounge that offers local nightlife on weekends. The indoor swimming pool is open year round to accommodate everyone. The small fitness center adjacent to the pool is small but just big enough to get a quick workout in.
The lobby was redesigned to be huge and welcoming, warm and friendly. There is a lot of space for guests and luggage as check ins and check outs can be quite busy in New Orleans. The elevators were re-carpeted and the wiring checked and rechecked to ensure that no one’s safety would be put in jeopardy.
The history of the hotel would make for a great history tour throughout the hotel to add something extra for the guests to enjoy. But you may or may not want to mention the legend of the ghost that haunts one of the rooms. That is up to you!
Even though the hotel itself resembles a brand new hotel, the city where it resides is filled with history and past stories that can fill dozens of books - and do! New Orleans is a fantastic business city and a great place for hotels. The hundreds of tourists that come in and out each month and even the locals who like to enjoy a weekend "away" keep you in business and well profitable.
Enjoy the city of New Orleans with your staff and your guests. Enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Relaxed and fun times abrewing! Katrina be damned!
